"Master Plant Dieting & Spirituality"
REMI DELAUNE
Session Description
Remi will discuss how to properly/successfully engage in a master plant diet, the basic do's and don’ts. Plus, he will help you understand the true purpose of dieting, the nature of plants and how to develop a meaningful connection with them. In this session, Remi will also discuss the role of spirituality in sacred plant medicine.
About Remi
Remi grew up in the south of France. He decided to take monastic vows at the age of 17, where he stayed for almost 20 years, spending time as a monk and eventually becoming the monastery’s abbot. In his mid 30s, he decided to leave the monastery, not by a conflict of faith, but because he wanted to go into the world to help people. Remi became interested in plant medicine and decided to study for 3 years under Maestro Ricardo Amaringo. Because of health reasons, he completed 2 years of apprenticeship. In 2016, Remi met his wife, Ashley, at the same retreat center in Peru, and in 2018 they founded Kumankaya Healing Center. When synthesizing his monastic life with his life now, Remi always says: “the end is the same; only the means have changed.”

"Introduction to Somatic Experience & its Role in Integration"
MARTINA DRASSL
Session Description
After a plant-healing experience, it can be beneficial to discover your nervous system and find tools that help you feel at home within yourself. The body is a great resource to weave some of the changes you would like to integrate into your daily life.
What is somatic experience? SE is a body oriented approach to the healing of trauma and other disorders such as stress, anxiety and depression. This technique, developed by Dr Peter Levine helps to regulate the nervous system and ultimately leads to a better quality of life. After a healing experience with plant medicine there can be struggles to integrate the personal changes.I also incorporate Somatic Experiencing as a valuable additional tool in the integration process after a plant medicine experience.
About Martina
Martina Drassl is a curandera who works with Amazonian Master Plants in the Shipibo lineage of Maestro Ricardo Amaringo. She started her healing journey with the plants in 2009 and has spent extensive time at Nihue Rao Centro Espiritual in Iquitos Peru where she supported and guided people through the healing process. She is also a licensed Somatic Experiencing Practitioner and Integration Coach. While Martina travels extensively, she was born in South Tyrol and has lived there throughout her life.

"The Integration Box: Somatic & Creative Tools for Integration"
MARKUS DRASSL
Session Description
This workshop offers a gentle and grounded space for reflection and reconnection. Through simple somatic practices and creative exploration, you will be supported in reconnecting with your body and calming your nervous system.
At the heart of the workshop is The Integration Box—a creative, hands-on tool designed to give your insights a place to land. Rather than forcing meaning, the process invites understanding to emerge step by step, opening the door to gentle and lasting change.
Together, we will explore creative ways and practical tools to rethink patterns, question old beliefs, and reshape the stories we tell about ourselves.
This workshop is not about completing the integration process. Instead, it is about beginning it—with greater awareness, orientation, and self-compassion.
About Markus
Markus studied Traditional Amazonian Plant Medicine in the Shipibo tradition with master ayahuasquero Ricardo Amaringo at the Peruvian healing center Nihue Rao Centro Espiritual. With over 15 years of experience, he has developed deep knowledge of traditional plant medicine practices and rituals.
He is also trained in Somatic Experiencing, supporting clients in discovering and using their inner and outer resources to heal from traumatic experiences. Working with nervous system regulation can support the integration of non-ordinary states of consciousness and help address patterns related to stress, fatigue, substance use, and emotional challenges.
In addition, Markus holds a Master’s degree in Fine Arts from the Accademia delle Belle Arti in Italy. His unique combination of artistic practice, nervous system work, and knowledge of traditional plant medicine brings a creative and integrative perspective to the healing process.

"Somatic Regulation & the Five Elements"
AVERY
Session Description
This workshop combines archetypal insights from the five elements of acupuncture and principles from somatic practices to help you understand tools for greater self- awareness and nervous regulation.
Let’s co-create a space of curiosity, connection and embodied learning. Together we will explore archetypes of the five elements of acupuncture: Fire, Earth, Metal and Water; not just as concepts, but as living energies that move through your body, your emotions and lived patterns. We will bring these archetypes to life through guided reflection, gentle movement, and shared dialogue. You’ll begin to recognize how each element expresses itself within you through your strengths, your emotions, your sensations and your natural rhythms. With practice, you will see how balance among the elements can support greater ease and vitality in everyday life.
Blending this ancient wisdom with somatic practices, the workshop offers simple yet powerful tools to deepen your awareness of the nervous system. Through grounding exercises, you’ll learn how to listen to your body’s signals, release stored tension, and cultivate a sense of safety within.
About Avery
Like many people do, Avery came into service by seeking her own healing. She went to university and studied sports medicine and as a lifelong competitive athlete, she was looking for something to pursue when the competition ended. Yoga Asana found her around the same time she began studying Chinese medicine. The moving medication of Yoga is what initially shifted her perspective into a spiritual one. Suddenly, something was different. She went on to specialize in 5 Elements Acupuncture which places an emphasis on spirit-level healing. By this time, she had no choice but to look inside of herself.
In 2014, as this inward journey continued, Avery found herself sitting in the Peruvian Amazon exploring deeper and wilder realms. After many years exploring these realms, still, something was missing: Integration. Now a major buzz word, it is more understood that integration IS the healing. In 2022, Avery began formally studying somatic therapy and re-membering her parts. As a multidisciplinary practitioner, Avery draws from each of these modalities with an approach that is intuitive and unique to the individual. She offers a depth of understanding and compassionate reflections to facilitate lasting transformative experiences.

"Keeping the Conversation Going: Shamanic Journeying & Dreamwork for Integration"
BEN SULLIVAN
Session Description
One of the most tender challenges in the integration process is the inevitable shift we feel when returning to "ordinary" life after we've completed a dieta. The beautiful sense of communion with the plant—the clarity, intimacy, and presence—often begins to fade. And while it’s true we can’t always maintain the same level of depth that we experienced during the diet, the relationship doesn’t end there. In fact, it’s just beginning.
In this workshop we will explore how shamanic journeying and dreamwork can serve as powerful bridges allowing us to revisit, reconnect, and continue deepening our relationship with the plants over time. Together, we’ll explore how to work with these practices to draw forward teachings that may have been unclear, unfinished, or simply waiting for the right time to reveal themselves.
Participants will be guided through a shamanic journey and offered practical tools for tracking the subtle threads of the dieta long after the formal container has closed. Whether you’re just landing from a ceremony or diet, or seeking deeper meaning in past experiences, this workshop offers a way to continue the conversation—and to let the plants keep speaking through dream, vision, and inner knowing.
About Ben
I have spent more than half my life as a student and practitioner of shamanism and Earth Medicine. My own journey of personal healing and discovery has led me to study and train with master healers and medicine people of North and South America, as well as the Celtic Medicine of my ancestry. It was through my connection with Plant Medicine that I found my deepest, most profound healing transformation, as well as the path forward to help others do the same.

"Held Well: Trust, Relationship and Psilocybin"
ADAM MOORE
Session Description
Of all the plant medicines, psilocybin tends to be more accessible than most. For millions of people, that's the difference between a genuinely transformative plant medicine experience being possible or not.
But as the conversation gets louder, most of the focus lands on protocols, dosing, and brain science. But talk to anyone who's been through something truly transformative, and the gentle, trusted presence of a good guide almost always comes up.
In this talk, Adam draws on his own ten years with psilocybin and his experience guiding others to make the case that relationship is the most overlooked part of this work. The guide's presence, and the care with which trust is built, can be what transforms a good journey into a truly meaningful one. And that doesn't start when the medicine kicks in, nor does it end when it wears off. The real work happens in the preparation beforehand and the integration afterwards — and that's where the quality of the relationship matters most. This talk is about how that trust is built, and why it sits at the heart of this work.
About Adam
Adam is the founder of Solas Nua, a psychedelic mentorship practice based in Ireland. Irish born, he spent twelve years living in Australia and Canada before returning home in 2022. His own journey with plant medicine began in Vancouver in 2017, and over the past seven years he has guided many others through their own psilocybin experiences. He spent six months as a facilitator at Kumankaya Healing Center in Mexico in 2024 and continues to work with them on European outreach, regularly bringing groups over to experience the work firsthand. He completed his psychedelic mentorship certification with Onaya Science in 2025.

"Somatics for Ceremony: Increasing Capacity for Presence and Long-Term Transformation"
JOSHUA KAHN RUSSELL
Session Description
The thought loops in our heads. How we hold our shoulders and chest. Contracted breathing when we feel pressure. We are always practicing something - in fact our bodies and minds are practicing many simultaneous things at any given moment. Strozzi somatics teaches us that muscle memory wins - from the deepened grooves in our neural pathways, to the way we embody and respond to our emotions.
Have you ever had profound experiences in ceremony, only to find yourself stuck in old patterns 6 or 10 months later when life throws challenges your way? Have you ever found yourself overwhelmed with the range of sensation and information during the peak of ceremony?
In this workshop, Joshua will share tools from Strozzi somatics to help us stay centered both in ceremony, and to help apply them in service of lasting life-long integration afterwards. Experiential and interactive, we’ll explore how to identify the ways our bodies have practiced strategies to find Safety, Dignity, or Belonging since childhood that may no longer be serving us, and work with tools to shift them to build new muscle memory and practices that can carry our work from the Maloka into sustained daily transformation.
About Joshua
Joshua will be with us the entire seasonJoshua Kahn Russell is an apprentice of Maestro Ricardo Amaringo, with 13 years of experience learning Shipibo plant medicine in the Peruvian Amazon. He regularly facilitates cohorts of community leaders and Indigenous land protectors to visit the Amazon and heal with traditional plant dietas. He is a somatic integration coach for people looking to apply their transformations from ceremony, and also works as a leadership coach, with a 20+ year background in frontline Climate Change, racial and economic justice, and Indigenous Sovereignty grassroots movements. He is the former Executive Director of The Wildfire Project, and has written and co-edited numerous books, including A Line In The Tar Sands: Struggles for Environmental Justice, Beautiful Trouble, and Organizing Cools the Planet: Tools and Reflections to Navigate the Climate Crisis. His most recent podcast mini-series is called Dialectics & Psychedelics: Transformation and Social Struggles.

"Being a Woman in Sacred Plant Medicine Spaces "
ASHLEY DELAUNE
Session Description
Being a female practitioner in such a male-dominated space comes with its challenges. My teachers are males: Ricardo Amaringo and my husband, Remi. Only once have I worked with and dieted with a maestra, Maestra Manuala Mahua. Additionally, it is very rare when I get to share the ceremonial space with other female practitioners. In this session, I want to explore the challenges of being a woman in medicine spaces, and how we can embrace our unique medicine and what we bring to our own healing, ceremonial spaces, and any spaces by the matter, just by being women.
About Ashley
Ashley grew up in Illinois, USA. She has her Masters degree in World Literature and her PhD in 20th century British and American Literature, specializing in trauma theory. She localized her studies on PTSD, specifically combat trauma. She sought to understand how veterans communicate their experiences and spiritual crises through figurative language. In essence, how an individual uses symbology when experiencing a trauma that eludes expression. Little did she know, these studies would inform her present practice with the medicine and help people process through and heal their trauma. Ashley has been working with the medicine for a decade now and has been a practitioner since 2022. Alongside her husband, Ashley owns Kumankaya Healing Center.
