Facilitator Positions

Facilitator Guidelines

The facilitator is the most important support element at Kumankaya. Therefore, we select our facilitators carefully. A good facilitation team allows Kumankaya to function in its highest capacity. A strong facilitator is the backbone of Kumankaya. They are here to support the guests and their process and also to support Remi and Ashley in whatever capacity is necessary so they can provide the utmost healing to guests.

For an individual to be considered for a facilitator, one MUST come to Kumankaya to diet for a minimum of 2 weeks. This is important for 2 reasons:

1). Namely, an applicant needs to see how Kumankaya functions, how we run daily life, how ceremonies function, etc. It is also important that we see (and the applicant sees) if our energies and value systems are compatible.

2). Secondly, an applicant must have Master Plant dieting/ceremonial experience before facilitating guest healing experiences. This is very important. One must have first-hand dieting experience before they are able to support others during their process.

A strong facilitator is so much more than a bunch of bullet points.

This is the absolute minimum that is expected. We ask that facilitators bring their positive energy / attitudes and strong work ethic to elevate the Kumankaya experience for both guests and the Kumankaya team. We teach by living a different way and showing others it is indeed possible to live a peaceful, harmonious joyful life. We demonstrate this through our actions, behaviors, words, and the way we treat others.

IN RETURN, A FACILITATOR WILL RECEIVE:

  1. Free lodging and meals

  2. 2 Ayahuasca ceremonies a week

  3. A free Master Plant diet for 1/2 the length of service

  4. Learn how to work with the medicine

  5. Learn how to be of service

  6. Learn Shipibo and ceremonial/healing practices.

  7. Deepen their own personal healing with our support.
